All of the education and training courses, seminars, tutorials, and workshops offered by Attwater Consulting are based on graduate level courses developed and taught at prestigious universities by Attwater Consultants.  As in those graduate courses, we focus on practical applicability of the material to your problems and needs.  No Attwater Consulting course is ever an infotainment experience; they all contain substantial content that engineers, project managers, and systems engineers need and can use to perform their jobs better.  All Attwater Consulting education and training offerings are custom tailored to your business and industry culture, and to your specific needs for your staff.

Attwater Consulting classifies education and training offerings in four categories.  Most topic areas can be addressed in all of these categories.

Graduate Level Courses:  40+ hours of graduate level lectures over a period of no less than 10 weeks to no more than 15 weeks, with homework, self-study, and testing.  To attain mastery of graduate level material requires step by step building of skills with substantial soak time between increments of instruction, with real world practice through homework, and evaluation of attained skill levels through testing.  All graduate level course offerings have been actually taught by an Attwater Consultant as part of a graduate degree program at a prestigious university.  The weekly dedicated time requirement for success by the student in these courses is typically around 10-15 hours of lecture, homework, and study, just as at any quality graduate school.  Courses may be provided in situ at your location, partially at your location with the balance distance web based, and some may be totally distance web based, depending on topic.  Most courses can be tailored to your business and industry culture, and your specific needs for your staff.

Seminars:  Typically 1 - 4 hours long, seminars provided by Attwater Consulting introduce concepts to broaden insights to enable better performance on the job.  The seminars provided by Attwater Consulting are always tailored to your business and industry culture, and your specific needs for your staff.  Seminars may be presented in situ at your location or via webinar, and are often used as programs for professional society chapter meetings or as a speaking engagement.

Tutorials:  Typically half day or full day, Attwater Consulting expands and deepens the content presented in seminars to include actual real world practice examples.  Tutorials provide much more than broadened insights in that the examples presented are general enough to be used as a template for adapting to the specific problems your staff may be facing.  Tutorials may be presented in situ at your location or via webinar, and are often presented at professional society conferences and symposia.  Tutorials provided by Attwater Consulting are often used as revenue generating events for professional societies.

Workshops:  Typically one to three days, Attwater Consulting workshops expand on tutorials by requiring real time practice by the student in executing actual real world examples to develop real practical skills.  True learning comes from actually doing, and Attwater Consulting workshops exercise this concept.  Workshops are always presented in situ at your location, are occasionally presented at professional society conferences and symposia, and are occasionally used as revenue generating events for professional societies.
